I should know what the word, versatile, means but I decided to look it up anyway.
“: changing or fluctuating readily : variable | : embracing a variety of subjects, fields, or skills ; also : turning with ease from one thing to another | : capable of turning forward or backward : reversible”
Although more than half of my posts are my memoirs (of a sort anyway), I do like writing about other things, places and people too. As far as the ease I find in doing that is something that I am working on as I go.

Seven Things about Me
- I almost died from a liver infection I had when I was an infant. I wasn’t expected to live past the age of two. Obviously, the doctors’ prediction was wrong.
- I took ballet lessons when I was five years old. My mom pulled me out because it was making my flat feet worse.
- At my first run of college, I majored in accounting on the advice of a vocational counselor. I was terrible at it.
- I was brilliant enough to marry my first husband twice.
- I weighed more before my pregnancy of my son than I did after I delivered.
- Until I was nine years old, I couldn’t eat an entire hamburger.
- I have most people fooled about how much confidence I have.

First off, congrats on the award(s)! You obviously have writing talent, I can tell from this “about” section. And you are very open about your life; you’re willing to share honestly about your life experiences.
I enjoyed the things about your life. I was found it particularly interesting that you married your husband twice. I did the same with my first wife, however, it wasn’t very “brilliant.” She finally ran off with another guy after 12 years of marriage!

Actually, that sentence about me being brilliant was sarcastic. Ten years after I divorced him for the 2nd time, I met the man that I have been married to for 23 years. It’s amazing what can happen when the relationship is right. 😉

Glynis, I reread the comment above and owe you an apology. When I commented that marrying twice wasn’t “brilliant,” I was referring to MY decision, not yours! I just didn’t say it well at all!
No, I cannot and would not judge such decisions as that about others. I can only comment on myself and my actions…

Congratulations on the award and thanks for the ping back. I also enjoy the about section. Your ballet lessons reminded me of mine where the teacher forced us to do the spitz by standing behind us and pushing down on our shoulders. I can still remember the pain. Finally my mother pulled me out.

Ouch! No, my ballet teacher never did that. She focused on the 5 basic positions and rehearsals for small shows in the area. I stayed in long enough to be a blackbird for the show of The Wizard of Oz and a snow-fairy for the Nutcracker Suite (Dance of the Reed Flutes). I love ballet but my mom said no so that was that.

You’re welcome! You deserve it. I really enjoyed your answers too. To survive something that was set to have a terrible outcome is such a huge blessing. I wish I would have weighed less after having my son that I did before I got pregnant with him. I gained a ton. Forget eating for two. It was more like eating for four.
